*It's 2:30 in the morning. I should not be up. But I'm posting this so hopefully people can see it during the day if they want.
Today's post is a photo we took ourselves. I've never been one of those people that is really great at photography, like some of my excellent bloggers, but I did always like this pic. It was taken at some beach near LA in the summer of 2005. It was just a really good day spent with my family and I feel like I captured things pretty decent here.
At times, this has been used as my desktop background and I think this was about the time I started to fall in love with the beach.
Very nice! Whether or not you think you have photographic talent is irrelevant here - you captured it at the perfect moment. Sometimes photos just happen organically like that - no effort.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to go to Cali someday.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's a gorgeous shot!
ReplyDeleteYay for dolphins! They are my fav and I think according to those personality books this makes me a sexual person. Or something. I don't know..I guess it's accurate seeing how all I need is a fan. LOL. But I like the skyline in the distance- makes it pretty damn cool. Would be a fantastic black & white photo too.
ReplyDeleteThis is a good picture. I love the beach, especially when it's empty, when in Florida I'd always go at like 2 a.m. to get there when no one else was.
ReplyDelete@Allison:
ReplyDeleteYou should do it. I need to make a return myself.
@Lisa:
Thanks, though I can only take only credit for the pic, not the ocean haha
@Cassie:
preciate the compliment
@Sara:
I don't know if your medication is taking an effect, but there are no dolphins in that pic haha
@jeanette:
I went to a beach by myself once. One of the best hours I have ever spent in my life
I think "the dolphin" is the dark spot in the middle - probably just a wave (I thought it was a bird on first glance). That would be one suicidal dolphin - super close to shore.
ReplyDeleteAnd someday I will visit California.
For the record: I was still high this morning.
ReplyDeleteWhich is proven by the fact I tried to toast a granola bar. For 30 minutes. FAIL.
@Allison and Sara:
ReplyDeleteIt was a bird haha. I caught it at the right time. No suicidal dolphins. Sara was just high ;)
I should learn to trust my first glances.
ReplyDelete"It's 2:30 in the morning. I should not be up."- This is like my mantra every night. Beautiful picture, Mr. O. I love when a picture perfectly and utterly captures an emotional moment.
ReplyDeleteSara loves Nyquil.
ReplyDeleteOooh so pretty!!
