My uncle actually slid this book to me after he always asks me when I visit LA if I "have read anything lately." He told me I would like this one and I started reading it when my plane left the Burbank airport on my way back to Alabama and by the time I landed I was halfway finished.
It was great. I know I'm going to sound like a book-reading rookie, but it read like a movie. I could see everything that was going so vividly and it kept me interested the entire time.
I can't really tell you what it's about because except a man's wife gets kidnapped. Anything else would be spoiling, but it actually inspired my roommate to pick up a lot more books by the same author.
I love Dean Koontz books, but I don't think I've read this one... I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteBe still my little heart, Mr. O--- it's a book even I haven't read. ;) Awesome. I used to read a lot of Dean Koontz, but then I read "The Door to December" or something like that and it fucked me up for a few months. I was only 13 at the time so MAYBE it wasn't appropriate reading material but my parents assumed since it wasn't porn I was fine. I just might put this on my reading list..
ReplyDeleteDean Koontz makes me think of my dad - he reads a lot of paperback novels like this.
