I tried to google this to make sure of it, but I swear I have heard this on radio or TV, but my Uncle, who lives in California, actually told me this too.
But here is my fact (it may not be 100% accurate, but I'm going off memory):

In November, the annual "Iron Bowl" game is played between the Auburn Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide. The game is such a big deal in the state that on game day the respective stadium and surrounding tailgaters make it the third largest city in the state at that time.

This year, it's in Auburn. I can't wait.
That's AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteWow ...that's some pic of the stadium ...did you take that ?? If so what kind of camera?
ReplyDeleteAhhh football season, how I've missed you.
ReplyDelete@Natalie:

@King of NYHacks:
Nice to have my page graced with some royalty. But no, I just googled that image, sorry.
@jeanette:
we will be reunited with the gool ol season soon
One of my ALL time favorite shows is Friday Night Lights. How much do I love football, let me count the ways! In fact I'm listening to the soundtrack right now- which oddly enough features Iron & Wine with Calexico "Dead Man's Will" Great song.
ReplyDeleteSo my random (not really so random) for you is have you seen the show? If not, you should. BEST show on NBC.
@Lola:
ReplyDeleteI should look at the soundtrack then but I never really watched the show, but I have seen a few episodes here and there. But I don't know if I can agree with best show on NBC. I mean, they have The Office ;)
Ah, football. Is there anything it can't do? It brings people together, and it creates artificial cities. That is so unbelievably funny. 'Bama folk must really love their football! (Why do I think of The Waterboy when I say that??)
