A Good Week?

I guess they do happen.

Monday: Had my radio show that I feel went really well. I had a co-host in there with me and I always feel better when someone else is in the studio. I feel looser. Plus, the songs were selected with help from you guys (which songs exactly? -- keep reading).

Tuesday: Went to a carnival. Yep, at 23 years old I went to a carnival. There was a random one in our town and I was like "let's have a little fun" so I told my friend Jessica to not dare make any plans cuz we are going out. We had a really good time in that "we are too old to be here but eff it, let's have some fun." Went on a ferris wheel, watched her get hussled into spending 20 dollars on a stuffed monkey, and of course got a funnel cake. Ended the night by riding The Zipper. That thing was intense and I spent more time trying to grab my cell phone that was being flung around like a pin ball than enjoying myself. Ended the night with some mexican food. Taco salad's are my favorite.

Wednesday: Made the return to my bowling league after missing the week before because I was puking my lungs out. Bowled pretty awesome, if I do say so myself. 206, 180, 198. We won all our games cuz it's what we do. But really, what we do is have fun and that's what I did Wednesday night.

Thursday: Got my speech grade back and made a 97. Pretty happy about that. Then for dinner I got a craving for some breakfast type food so I asked Jessica if she wanted to go to IHOP (side story: Jessica and I haven't been hanging out much lately, so I guess this week was good too because of reconnecting). Had a really good time at IHOP meaning great service, great food. Then, I'm sitting there watching Lost when I get a call from jme. Wants to know what I thought about "The Men Who Stare at Goats" which I couldn't give her an answer because I haven't seen. But all the sudden the subject of Rock Band got brought up. I love technology. With us living hours apart, we were all able to jump on and get a full band going consisting of myself, her, her husband, and Kami. Ok, maybe that last one wasn't actually a part of the band. But it was really fun, I even got the Lady GaGa tracks so "Bad Romance" was definitely blasting in my living room.

Friday: Just chillin. If I can find somebody willing, I may go see Kick-Ass tonight. If not, probably more Lost and Tiger Woods on Xbox. Life is good right now.

And for Allison and anybody else who was curious, these are the songs I played on Monday's show with two exceptions. I played the acoustic version of "Anna Molly" and "Lingering Still" by She and Him, not "Sentimental Heart" but those two tracks weren't available. Also note that to be accurate, #1 on the playlist is #30 in the countdown and so on. To match with the list, go back here. Enjoy these tracks and hopefully you will enjoy the final spots in the countdown.

Random lyric of the day:

Summer comes and leaves you with a fever
That you caught
When you were young
Summer goes, makes you feel like life is real
And hanging on for more

  3. Dude- I'm having taco salad tonight. I've been looking forward to that all day. Yum.

    Thanks for the play list!

    I am going to be a loser and say I have never had a funnel cake. I'm a sucker for mini donuts and I am more than excited that there is a park in Canal Park that now sells them. NOW I don't have to go to the ghetto fair in the summer. I can go every day between Memorial and Labor Day if I want to. Yay!!

    OK- so I've decided that you need to come up north to visit your sis in August and I will take you to the MN State Fair. You haven't lived until you've been there. We can do that AND see a concert in the same night because the Twin Cities are the hotness like that. :) OR you can come anytime and we'll go to ValleyFair and you can watch me lose my shit on Steel Venom or Wild Thing. I've done them both once and thought I was going to die. HAHA!!

    @Allison:
    I will always cheer to funnel cakes and taco salads. Thanks for being interested!

    @Sara:
    yep, you are a loser for never having a funnel cake. Burger King is selling some funnel cake stick things, you should jump on them. Don't tease me about visiting the sis and making a trip out of it and seeing you. If money wasn't an option, I would do it. Of course, if money wasn't an option, I would have a new ipod :(

    @Melissa:
    nothing like nice comments on a good playlist

    @Liz:
