Peeking in from the shadows

I feel like I haven't had a real post in weeks. And this kind of isn't one either. It's a declaration -- and an apology.

There are those who have left comments and I haven't really returned the favor. That changes this weekend. If your blog doesn't let you know there are new comments, then on Monday you just may want to check. For the first time this summer, I have no plans this weekend. Well, I would like to go the movies (Inglorious Basterds), sleep in on Sunday, and watch Summerslam Sunday night. Other than that, I will be checking in on you guys and being better than what I have been the past week or so, just reading the opening paragraph and going on. I say this because your awesome comments keep me going and there are a couple in particular that I HAVE to return the favor to.

But real quick, here is what I have been up to:

*school started Monday. Hence the busy-ness and the need for sleep on Sunday. Classes seem like they will be ok. One of them is a bowling class :)

*with school starting again, that meant my ex-girlfriend came back. In late breaking news -- we talked. It wasn't pleasant at first, but it could be later on in a "we can be civil" kind of way. We shall see, but expect a post about that later.

*but actually the major thing is the roommate situation. Let's just say that the situation I was worried about is already starting to come true -- and school just started. It got pretty bad at one point where I sort of ran away from my own house. But I got clear headed the next day and we talked. I feel like things are resolved -- for now.

Other than that, I have been listening to some new music, specifically Matt & Kim, but also thanks to a comment I checked out Scouting for Girls (thanks Lola). Hopefully this life gets a lil more interesting so I will have more to talk about.

Random lyric of the day:

I'm gonna break your little heart
Watch you take the fall laughing all the way to the hospital
'cause there's nothing surgery can do

I'm gonna break your little heart
Show you to the door sew yourself shut and now you're begging for more
'cause there's nothing surgery can do
When i break your little heart in two

  3. Good luck on the whole roommate thing man. It's hard sharing but, despite what might appear to be difficulties, it can usually be worked out. And, if not, you just might have to get bad and kick out the misbehaver. People are always looking for places to stay. If you need that third person, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find someone compatible. And, if not, then there's no real problem. As I see it, the power is with you.

  5. I can always remember the start of a new semester as being pretty hectic and crazy, so you have a good excuse for not blogging...but just this once! :)

Hope your roommate situation heals itself.

If you see Inglourious Basterds let us know how it is!

  7. There is SO much going on in your life right now. I've got everything crossed for you that things will be OK. If there's one thing I've learned from taking a blog break for a bit, it's this: don't worry about not blogging or commenting. We'll still be here when you're ready to get back into it. Just do what you have to do to feel at peace within yourself. Remember that this blogging stuff is supposed to be fun!

Although it sucked, I'm glad you've been able to talk to your ex. As you say, I really believe you'll finally get to the place where you can be civil to one another, and just get on with life without unnecessary complications from the past. You can SO do this, my friend.

As for the roommate situation, bonus points to you for dealing with it like an adult and talking it out. And as Tenny says, you've got the power – if it's not working out, there will be someone else to share your place who's more on your wavelength.

And seriously – bowling??? This semester is going to be a good one, methinks.

Love and positivity to you, Mr O. Don't forget that you can shoot me an email whenever you like, OK?
