We had reports of severe weather all throughout the day. At first we saw a tornado touched down in Cullman. Then that a hospital in Cullman was hit. And then the biggest news was that it ripped through Tuscaloosa.
I stayed at work a little late to monitor if it was coming our way and what, if anything, we were going to write about it. So far, all we got in the city of Montgomery was some rain. Though by the time I wake up tomorrow that might change.
3 people have died in a city near us (Eclectic). At least 15 died in Tuscaloosa. And as of the time I'm writing this, 58 have died across the state.
The images I've seen have been unreal. And I don't think I will get them out of my head for quite some time.
omg! That's so sad. I'm so sorry that you had to see all that.
ReplyDeleteSo awful :(
ReplyDeleteStay safe Mr. O!
We've had some weird weather here too - nothing like this obviously. We're probably getting it from the south. We've had thunder storms and a lot of wind all week. I can't wait to go on vacation next week!
ReplyDeleteHope everything is okay for you and your loved ones.
thanks guys (gals?)
ReplyDeleteSince I woke up, the death toll went from 58 to 131 just in Alabama. 202 across other southern states.
It's just been unreal.
As I look at the pictures I think- wow. Because it's really amazing how a tornado can just demolish one thing and leave everything around it intact. It's just a strange weather phenomenon that fascinates me. I mean, every other weather pattern demolishes everything it comes across... but tornados pick and choose. It's just crazy.
