Not really. I just like to quote Anchorman any chance I get. And love the fact that he was an anchor and I am a journalist. It's kinda sorta similar.
But while on the scene at a wreck today, I was writing down the statement while the TV crews, our competition, were videotaping.
I go on their website to see if I missed anything before I posted what we had as kind of a "double check" thing.
And I see this:
Why they had to get me when I was in the background squinting and such is beyond me...

At least your gas prices are a little lower there, besides you look cute all squinty n' stuff. Don't work too hard.
ReplyDeleteYou look deep in thought. Now the guy they are interviewing looks pretty awful, but that's a horse of a different color.
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious - awe Mr. O on the job. You even have a little pad of paper.
ReplyDeleteYou should get a voice recorder - I have one from when I worked for a magazine. You just have to transcribe it later.
I think it's because you ARE the competition. ;)
ReplyDelete@Siren:
ReplyDeleteI would never work too hard. That's crazy. But thank you for the notices ;)
@Natalie:
horse of a different color - is it mean that I feel that applies here?
@Allison:
I have one, but we were taught not to rely on it so it's just become habit. It works easier with the good ol pen and paper sometimes
@Sara:
SABOTAGE!
