To Whom Has Clicked On This Blog,
Please do not be afraid of how many songs are on this post. I tried to put them in a player to make them more convenient and ten seems to be the magic number for lists and that was the exact amount of youtube videos I got (those were the songs I couldn't find on the playlist website).
Now, you may be asking "Mr O, where the hell is Muse, Paramore, Green Day... NO TAKING BACK SUNDAY?" Well the answer to that question is this: I decided to focus more on singles and random songs and to stay away from my favorite albums. Those will come in my Music Sunday posts for 2010.
I have no idea how I am going to rank them, but for all the Sundays of next year, I will be doing a countdown of my favorite cds of all time. I just feel like it will be a fun way to go down memory lane and take you guys with me as well. Plus, I really like Music Sundays as Sundays seem to be a downtime for blogging, and who doesn't like music?
So, in no order at all, I bring you my songs of 2009:

So many wonderful songs!
ReplyDeletePerfect playlist for a nice sunday...thanks.
=)
OKAY HERE GOES:
ReplyDelete1) I can't believe Weezer got dropped from their label.
2) No Paramore but a lot of Hayley love between Teenagers and The Few That Remain... I approve.
3) Meg & Dia, Tegan & Sara, you know I approve of that!
4) DGD and Cage the Elephant... also great.
5) John Mayer... we both know my feelings on him coughcoughdouchecoughcough.
6) I Have yet to listen to the Pheonix cd... shame on me I know.
7) The Matt and Kim video is one of my favorites, except I'm pretty sure she's a man haha.
8) I'm so pumped to see Dashboard open for Bon Jovi!
9) TAI is my love.
10) I still think I prefer the Deadweather over Them Crooked Vultures.
11) And I had never heard that Switchfoot song because I got so freaking sick of them whenever their last song was popular.. drove me insane.
This was a very well put together post and I commend you for leaving out TBS because we all know you wanted to put them on there. Switching it up on the minions like me who read this good work! Can't wait for the 50-52 albums to come next yearrrr
Real good pics! I especially loved your inclusion of Vices (Because I go gaga for Brand New), Heads Will Roll (Because it's SUPER underrated), and Hell (Because rock radio should have jumped on this one). Definitely check out Phoenix's album though, it's a nice surprise. Very easy listening I think I disagree with your assessment of Deadweather vs Them Crooked Vultures, but I think it's because I really love Josh Homme's voice. If one were to to give Alison Mosshart another chance, where would one start?
ReplyDeletelove these!
ReplyDeletedid you get stuck in the blizzard up north??
I LOVE new Fang & Heads will Roll. 2 of my fav songs of last year too
